Physio for Dogs

Is your dog lame or upset when you touch them? Is your dog finding it difficult to climb steps, jump, sit, lie, roll over or stand on its hind legs? Does your dog appear to lose balance/ appear wobbly when moving?

 An ACPAT physiotherapist is the highest calibre professional qualification within the field leading the way in providing gold standard physiotherapy alongside veterinarian and other members of the multi-disciplinary team.

Physiotherapy can help your dog:

  • Pre- or Post-orthopaedic surgery,

  • After sustaining a fracture, trauma or soft tissue injury,

  • For neurological conditions such as degenerative myelopathy, intervertebral disc disease, lumbosacral disease and fibrocartilage embolism.

  • Hip and elbow dysplasia

  • Osteoarthritis

  • Obesity and weight management

  • General well-being and maintenance of physical health

The treatment modalities may include:

  • Hands-on treatment of soft tissue therapy and manual therapy,

  • Electrophysical agents, such as TENs, NMES, PEMF and Laser,

  • Hydrotherapy

  • An exercise programme, and advice will be tailored to you and your dog to bring about the best results.

Appointments are available at Lechlade K9 Centre (bookable through contacting me) or alternatively in the comfort of your own home

Prices are £60 per session which is as long as your dog requires (usually 45-75 minutes)

Home visits incur a 50p per mile cost (return mileage to GL7 1HE)
